Species Link Card (-R)

This card associates reactive species with components in the coupled flow and transport equations and defines which species name is associated with the system pH. Several coupled flow and transport components can be associated, but the availability will be dependent on the operational mode (i.e., the governing equations being solved). For example, aqueous water, pH, gas water, aqueous air, gas air, aqueous CO2, gas CO2, aqueous CH4, gas CH4, and aqueous salt can be associated, but only aqueous water and the system pH can be associated in the water mode (-W), because only the water phase is explicitly represented. This card is required when pH is defined in the Initial Conditions Card, or when simulating multiple phases, such as in the -CO2 mode.

  • Formatting instructions for associating reactive species with components areĀ provided on theĀ Card Syntax page.
  • Examples of Species Link Cards are provided on the Card Examples page.
