File names

File names are case sensitive and contain text data. Files contain one value for each grid cell in the units specified on the input line.

Formatted (ASCII) External File Syntax...

The external file contains parameter values for every grid-cell ordered according to the indexing scheme (i.e., IJK, JKI, or KIJ). Units shown in the input line will be applied to all parameters in the external file.

Binary External File Option

IJK Indexing,binary file:filename for X-Direction Intrinsic Permeability,Units (m^2),binary file:filename for Y-Direction Intrinsic Permeability,Units (m^2),binary file:filename for Z-Direction Intrinsic Permeability,Units (m^2),

Cylindrical Coordinate System

If a cylindrical coordinate system is specified, the the X-direction is the Radial direction and the Y-direction is the Azimuthal direction.

Cylindrical Coordinate System

If a cylindrical coordinate system is specified, the the X-direction is the Radial direction and the Y-direction is the Azimuthal direction.

Tip

Values and files may be used in combination within an input line. For example, when using the IJK Indexing option, the X-Direction Permeability may be specified as a file with varying values, while the Y- and Z-Direction Permeability can be specified as a single value for the entire domain.
