STOMP-EOR-BO is designed to solve problems involving the transport of water, oil, gas, and salt with passive solutes or reactive species through variably saturated geologic media under isothermal conditions. Alternatively under the compositional option, the simulator solves problems involving the transport of energy, water, CO2, CH4, salt, and a user-defined number of petroleum components with passive solutes or reactive species through variably saturated geologic media under non-isothermal conditions. Three mobile phases are considered by the simulator: 1) aqueous, 2) nonaqueous-liquid and 3) gas. The relative permeability of the mobile phases is generally a function of the saturation state, a permeability model, and the parameters associated with the permeability model. The model and its parameters are considered to be intrinsic properties of the rock/soil and are associated with grid cells via the rock/soil zonation. The 3 Phase Relative Permeability Card is used to specify relative permeability models for each of the three mobile phases, and to specify properties for the model parameters.
Formatting instructions for specifying the 3 phase relative permeability models and parameters are provided on the 3 Phase Relative Permeability Syntax page.
Examples of 3 Phase Relative Permeability Cards for STOMP-EOR are provided on the 3 Phase Relative Permeability Examples page.
